Job Description
Plan and optimise delivery routes and schedules for our national distribution network. You'll use routing software and data analysis to maximise efficiency and minimise costs while ensuring on-time deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise daily delivery routes for 50+ vehicles
- Use routing software to maximise vehicle utilisation
- Monitor live deliveries and respond to delays or changes
- Analyse delivery performance data and identify improvements
- Coordinate with warehouse teams on dispatch schedules
- Manage customer delivery time windows and special requirements
- Prepare daily and weekly performance reports
- Support capacity planning and seasonal demand management
Requirements
- 2+ years in logistics planning or transport coordination
- Experience with route planning software (Paragon, Optrak, or similar)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
- Knowledge of UK road network and geography
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
