Job Description

3-month temporary role with the possibility of becoming permanent. We're looking for an organised bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial records for a portfolio of small business clients using Xero.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day financial records using Xero
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Reconcile bank statements monthly
  • Prepare VAT returns for submission
  • Manage accounts receivable and chase overdue payments
  • Prepare basic financial reports for clients
  • Maintain organised filing systems (digital and physical)
  • Support the team with ad-hoc accounting tasks

Requirements

  • Experience with Xero accounting software
  • Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
  • AAT Level 2 or equivalent experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts
  • Professional communication skills
