Job Description
Manage the accounts payable function for a growing accountancy practice. You'll lead a small team, ensure accurate and timely payments, and drive process improvements across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle
- Lead and develop a team of two AP assistants
- Ensure timely and accurate supplier payments
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Implement and maintain AP policies and procedures
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience
- People management experience preferred
- Experience with Sage, Xero, or similar accounting software
- Strong Excel skills
- Understanding of VAT and tax regulations
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- AAT qualification or equivalent
